So much detailed information. It must have taken many hours to put together. Reflecting on the Iran-Iraq war it was so sad they were fighting each other. Like World War I there really was no reason for it. I guess you could say that about almost all wars.

I practically need a phD in “rocket science “ to follow but I got the point. I read your disclaimer where you site your sources but I should still add that the point about Saddam protecting his country from the Iranian government that seeks to attack his civilian population fails to draw attention to the fact that he is famous for killing his own Shia population while sparing the Christians. I once read posts on my Facebook feed where the citizens of Iraq we’re praising Saddam and saying “Allah yerhamak ya Shahid” or God rest your soul oh martyr. Apparently they were not targeted for death based upon their faith. It reminds me of the Syrians in the USA when asked what they think of their new “leader” they claim it is a change for the better.
