There is a tentative ceasefire in place, but historically neither Israel nor the US will be placated until the Iranian government is overthrown and replaced by one compliant with their demands
IF the news about a ceasefire among US, Israel and Iran holds (and Israel has a long track record of breaking ceasefires), then it would actually be an admission of utter defeat for Israel and the US. Their illegal aggression towards Iran achieved neither of their goals of ending Iran's nuclear energy program or bringing about regime change there.
The US bombed empty nuclear sites, so while Iran’s peaceful nuclear energy program was previously fully transparent and under IAEA monitoring, now its centrifuges and stockpiles of enriched uranium have been moved to an unknown location and Iran has understandably cut ties with the IAEA in its current form.
Yes, start a war, then stop it when you see you're losing and claim you are the peacemaker. It’s as if two guys assaulted a woman, aiming to gang rape her, and when she fought back and kicked one of them where it really hurts they both backed off, claiming to be feminists, champions of women’s rights and that she should actually fall in love with them…..
I would just point out again, that Israel has the nuclear bombs and is obviously a Country that cares nothing about human life except their own. Since no one will insist that Israel get rid of their nuclear arsenal then it seems that nuclear bombs should be supplied to Iran. They have never wanted them but as long as Israel has them then they must also have them. A better solution would be the total destruction of the Israel war mongering position they are always in and don't care about deaths outside of their Country. Seems quite clear to me a mid 80's man.
Mr. Ritter, you are a fountain of knowledge and a true American patriot that not only speaks, you do. You have no idea how many Americans or your foreign audience has been empowered by the information you have provided. As a fan I can say that we all appreciate, the sweat and blood in the effort you put in to your work. I am sadden by your announcement of hiatus and reducing the ask the inspector show to only 1 time a week. I hope you will consider bring it back in the future, and I understand your point of cutting back. I hope more of us will follow your foot step and do more to prevent nuclear weapons. We love your passion, your skills and your knowledge.
If what has been said about the defense agreement between Russia and Iran ,there is a good chance that President Pezechkian will have to account for that.
It’s about the values developed in the UN Charter and they can even be found in the preface and the 1st article of the Atlantic Charter of NATO.
Col. Jaques Baud explains it wonderfully and perfectly about how European values have declined, but he also touches on security issues and failures in the UN, subjects Scott is very familiar with, because originally he seemed to see his role as the possible nascent beginning of an intelligence arm of the UN, and Baud also touches on the very substance of what it should really mean to be a neutral nation, under the rule of the UN Charter.
There’s politicized and there’s making it personal, and forgetting any real idea of a set of rules, laws or even morals.
Col. Jacques Baud: EU’s INSANE Move Against Iran Could DESTROY Europe!
CORRUPTION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW BY WORLD LEADERS AND MEDIA
I cannot verify 100% the information but apparently the the um director of the IAEA agreed to share the names and location of some Iranian scientists, who incidentally were killed on the 13th of June, so this is something that has, I mean, extraordinary importance, in fact.
Because this is the whole credibility of the international order that is at stake here. And we are back to exactly what I said before. The west is corrupting
the international lawbased order in order to replace it with this international rule based order where the west establish the rules and these rules are accepted by the west only!
And that's exactly what we are witnessing today with Iran and that's something that is, in my view, totally unacceptable, and that's not related, again, I'm not Iranian uh some other people can judge better the situation in Iran.
I, I cannot and to be honest this is not my business, in, currently, uh, this is, this is beyond the point.
Here, here, we are talking about something very precise. This is international security! Is this international nuclear security, I would say, and this is about this, whether Khomeini has a black dress or white dress or, I don't care, this is not the issue!
And this is where we see, this, where the corruption in the west is going because in fact behind all this and this was repeated and that was even mentioned in, I think the Washington Post mentioned that, because after the half failure of the operation Midnight Hammer, now they are considering a regime change in Iran. I mean Trump is thinking about regime change in Iran, because at the end of the day it goes about that, you know, and that's exactly where we are. At stake, I mean we are exactly in opposition to the UN charter. In the UN charter you don't care who leads the country, XYZ, whether it's a good or bad leader.
By the way, if it were a bad leader, we could eliminate all the European leaders! But we don't do that, because they are conveniently stupid!
This is the thing is that what what is behind all this is, at the end of the day, the, um, the subversion against Iran and all, we we see, about all this assertion, that…
uh I I I recently listened to a Swiss journalist who said that Iran had a nuclear program in the late 50s in order to bomb its neighbors.
You know in the late 50s Iran had, had, a government, that has been installed by the US and the British, by the way, and was part in of the western bloc with all the neighboring countries so why should Iran wanting to destroy its neighbors since they were all belonging to the same club, if you want.
In addition to that, the nuclear program in Iran was established in the late 50s with the help of the Americans, so the Americans were feeding Iran to bomb neighbors who are the closest ally to the US?
You know, and, and, that's where you see this inconsistency, that we have among, even journalists, who, by the way is self-portrayed as an expert on Iran.
So we are we are beyond rationality here at every level and, and that's that is where I think a citizen, regardless the country but when we belong to a citizen, we cannot accept to have people who behave irrationally for interest we don't know where they come from and where they head to, because, as you rightly said, Putin said we fight against the same forces.
Who are these forces?
And we see that we have consistently, since about 30 years now, and probably more in fact, but notably in the last 30 years, by listening to these forces, we have disrupted a whole region, we have have killed million of people, displaced millions of people.
Create more harm than anybody else in, in history, because this is massive, that I have done and just for the sake of these forces?
You know, it's not even the interest. I mean, when I see my country, Switzerland, was supposed to be neutral, or is supposed to be neutral, did they complain or condemn the US operation in Iran or the Israeli operation in Iran!
No!
Even if, basically, traditionally, the compliance with the international law was a basis of Swiss foreign policy, which is exactly compatible with neutrality,
Neutrality is not about being right or left or blue or white or whatever.
It's about having the rule of law. And how about compliance with the international law.
Period.
That's neutrality.
You can be blue and if you don't comply, you don't comply. If you are white, you don't comply, that means you don't comply and you can be blamed for that.
That's neutrality.
Neutrality is not saying nothing about things!
It's precisely, especially, if international law is the your core business, or the defense and the protection of international law is your core business, then we have to do, but Switzerland, conveniently, didn't condemn.
We condemned, of course, what happened on the 7th of October 2023, what the Russians have done in in the 24th of February 2022 and all that but the operation the Israeli and the US operation against Iran which are blatant violation of international law violation of the UN charter are not condemned.
So that means we are beyond neutrality, here, and I think the example of Switzerland exemplifies the uh failure of the west at large because, in the past, during the Cold War, we thought that we were better than the communist block or wars pack, you can call him as you want but we're better because we had the rule of law, because we had those democratic laws, and because we could have this uh kind of transparency in acting according to the wish of the population, and things like that.
We're not authoritarian. We are not undemocratic, and things like this, and today, what are we seeing we are seeing, exactly the opposite. We have totally failed and I'm happy to be honest, no longer belonging to the intelligent service today, because I would probably be be dismissed within minutes uh because this is not what the the the spirit this is, not the um the philosophy, this is not what we had in mind at the time.
The way we managed the cold war was probably good, probably bad, I don't know, and history will tell but at least we could manage to keep a kind of a democratic type of governance.
Everybody could express itself. As I said many times, you could buy the PRAVDA in in the papers and news outlets in in Switzerland, in France and elsewhere. So although we were, we are, fighting against the Warsaw pact, people could still be communists in our countries.
Today we are not only preventing any, um, unconvenient narrative, or the narrative that doesn't follow the official one, but our leadership doesn't behave rationally, behave, according to objective that nobody really can understand, and can follow, and accept, by the way.
Well we usually don't ask them, so that's, that's easier also, and we have also a society that accepts that. Also, have to say, so, uh, in the 60s and the 70s, you had demonstrations all over against the war in Vietnam and elsewhere.
And, okay, I I don't know if that was useful or not. I, I was not part of that, but you could, you could do that today, if you have a demonstration for Palestine, you're accused of terrorism!
As my uncle, who was in a French resistance during World War II, he was considered as a terrorist by the Germans!
Everything that was opposed to the official rule was considered as terrorists, and we have exactly the same thing today, so there is something deeply wrong in our societies.
And I think, beyond what's happening, and the exchange of missiles, and the success of the, uh, the, this missile exchange with, this whole issue questions the very fundamentals of our societies.”

It’s about the rule of law, not the rules based order. It could be called the law based order but the base, basis or substance of everything, nation, tribe, people and tongue is faith, not military trinkets, or 5% of GDP military spending. It’s also evidence based, proven or provable.
