Thank you Scott for speaking truth to power. I totally agree with you. Once again, US citizens fell for these neocons who will say anything to get people to vote for them, and once again they prove themselves to be the liars that they are. They only do what the think tanks, wall street, the military and other industrial complex's, the Israel lobby and other neocons want them to do. They don't care about the ordinary people who are going down faster then a speeding bullet. Until people wake up, take to the streets, and stop voting for these demented people, they will continue to destroy the people and your beautiful country.

I have maintained for about eleven years that Donald Trump was merely a well-intentioned jingoistic simpleton, but still being the best hope for the US to regain the principles upon which the Republic was founded. He passed himself off as anti-war and anti-globalist. Now he has revealed himself to be much more than a jingoistic simpleton but a lying idiot as well. I have put my entire faith on the statecraft of XJP and V.Putin with the hope that that genuine statecraft calling for a dignified future for all of the human family might rub off on Donald Trump. It now appears that Trump is not human enough. Does Donald Trump possess the quality of discernment to understand his folly and become a true human being??

Thanks Scott. You answered my question.

There was no crisis. So scuttling negotiations was the point. Why? Who influences Netanyahu? Whom was he trying to Impress?

"And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and security forever." Isiah 32:17

The PM of Israel likes to quote the Bible, but he tends to use it to justify war or aggression. The Hebraic concept שלום/shalom, is not "peace" in the sense of no conflict, it implies that there is a wholeness among all involved, that there is integrity in the relationship. Isaiah speaks to a future time, not the past of the children of Israel, so for the PM to constantly keep invoking this time in the history of the children of Jacob is to continue to appeal to a spirit that led to those same people being sent into captivity by their God!

True "peace" is not merely a lull between conflicts:

"4 And He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." Isaiah 2

Thank you also for this post (Rant) Scott.

Who put Donald Trump in office and who gave their power to him? Who wasn't interested in taking responsibility themselves and who wanted a savior who would solve all the problems? Who believed and acted according to their religious fantasies of having a great messiah leader? Instead of looking at reality and acting according to it?

Why isn't someone like Hulk Hogan President of the USA? And you Scott, why isn't someone like you sitting in a Peace Department office doing service for the people there?

Is a president in a republican form of government a leader of the people (one who leads, a boss) or a supreme representative of the people (one who represents and one who is the chief commander of the army in times of war)?
