I was a Russian linguist in the US Army in West Germany, 1979-82, and all of us were impressed with the professionalism of the Turkish Army. We would be stupid to push the Turks away. But then again, America currently is run by the stupidest people ever. Thank you for your insight, Scott.

I remember reading about the lead up to Gallipoli in 1915 and how Britain's men-on-the-ground where sending messages back to the British Admiralty in London saying the Turks where building strong defences and they may need to rethink the whole campaign. The response from the Admiralty was: "The Ottoman Turk is an inferior soldier. We proceed as planned" Not so it appears. They fought well at Gallipoli and earned the respect of the Anzacs. Thanks Scott for another fascinating article

That was an excellent essay on behalf of Scott Ritter, a true patriot and thinker not blinded to the truth by dogma and false narratives. Thank you, William Scott Ritter!

I've nothing but contempt for NATO.

NATO, like Israel, has no right to exist. The world would be much better off without them.

Omer Halisdemir is indeed a hero. It's hard to fathom such bravery. He knew he was sacrificing his life for Turkish democracy!

Excellent history of the Turks in the Korean conflict. Although I have heard much about the travails of the US forces, as my wife's uncle was a US Army Major in Korea, I had never heard of the role of the Turks. Thanks!

Great essay. Turkey is rising in its importance in various ways, and I appreciate the education on matters that I knew little to nothing about, such as the coup attempt you describe in detail. Keep it coming.

Yes, Turkey has become the ‘key player’ both in terms of NATO’s relationship with Russia and America’s relationship with Iran plus Israel’s relationships with Syria and Lebanon.

As Iran, another Muslim country, found a way to steel itself against the US onslaught over Iran (in particular) so Turkey may too find the resolve to do the same to NATO. The times are changing as are the certainties associated with them. Turkey may well see this moment as the one where it finally steps up onto the world stage and makes its mark.

So powerful and so timely. The depth of your knowledge of world events is so critically needed in this time when ignorance and manipulation is used to sway public opinion in favor of the power elites who want endless war.

Israel has branded itself as the leader of European exceptionalism in other words a supporter of racial pride and arrogance. According to them, all humans are not created equal.

Some people see it as NATO versus Russia, but it can also be seen as worldly pride versus spiritual truth. The western zombie is one built upon material power and the ability to deceive the masses. This is the essence of Zionism. The Russian alliance is one built upon the just use of power, faith in God, and the just treatment of all people.

I found out recently that the Russian Orthodox Church sees the leader of Russia as the figure who will stand up against the antichrist. This is very interesting because in the Quran, we have a person named Dhulkarnain, a transcendental figure who restraints the Gog and Magog, ie supporters of the Antichrist during the end of times.

Scott we cannot thank you enough for being a beacon of light in the darkness of the night.

Thank you, Scott, excellent essay on world affairs. There are two looming dangers to world peace - one is the rising power of the isra3l Empire as demonstrated by your mention of the Kürecik early-warning radar system. The other, of course, is the rising outright HATE (not fear: Russophobia) of Russia by the Altlanticist NATO members, particularly, as you note, the “E3.” The recent Xi/Putin conference in Beijing called for a new security architecture for the world, with an end to one nation interfering in the affairs of another. Yet, since about 1988, the U.S. has been stage-managing WW-III to be fought on European soil instead of the Cold War stalemate of Mutually-Assured Destruction. See https://kathleenmccroskey.substack.com/p/machinations-of-empire Polls show that the majority of Europe’s population do not support a war on Russia - their leaders should wake up to the quagmire they have been herded into by the U.S. and embrace the coming new world order, instead of continuing the NATO interlocking treaty system, same as what enabled WW-I, which, under the surface, is all about projecting American power.
