Scott, just taking the opportunity to thank you for your work, and salute you for your integrity and courage, in which i believe your wife must be included. As a South African, my disappointment at the behaviour of the current US regime, with its puerile war department and thoughtless partriarchal defense of misogynistic pseudo men, veers to the extreme, and is only effectively redirected by Americans such as yourself, Garland Nixon, and the magnificent Golden judge, to mention Shakespeare's noble few, and its reassuring to reflect that the current abusers of power do not represent a significant majority, so the situation is not hopeless, and Mark Twain and Walt Whitman may soon be able to rest easily in their graves again, thanks to people of your calibre, that to me constitute the real America, and keep me soberly optimistic.
( ps the privations that the governing regime bullies you with fills me with dismay and deep comisseration with you and your marvellous spouse, but isn't that the type of thing we should expect when the head is rotten and dispensing disease downwards?)
Sorry and angry to hear what your zionist nazi incompetent so called leaders did to you. This is putting it nicely. It seems they see you as an easy target. People have probably asked you before but why dont you move to Russia? My husband is of Russian descent, his surname is Dorofaeff and his grandfather left Russia in 1916 and immigrated to Australia and then NZ, we think this was when Lenin was leading the revolution. I am so disillusioned with the colonial west I often joke, partly seriously, about us moving to Russia. I come from a line of colonised nations my strongest bloods Cook Island Maori and Scottish and our family have suffered as a result. If it wasn't for you and your fellow analysts, the world would suffocate under an avalanche of vile nazi evil propaganda and life would seem hopeless. Thankyou Scott for your unrelenting dedication to the cause and immense contribution to the fight for humanity. Love from NZ Josephine Campbell-Dorofaeff ❤️
Scott you are an international treasure. Thank-you for daily sacrifice of hours of interviews, speaking, writing, and research. Is there a GoFundMe set-up for your family so any nation can donate to you while you are de-banked?
Canada stole the million$ donated for the Freedom Convoy in 2022 wrongly saying it was foreign interference due to some American donations.
Sending a wave of Christ's love that knows no boundaries from Canada's Eastern Gate.
I am glad you are starting to recognize the catastrophe that was the Perestroika for what it was.
But you need to also make the next two steps, which are to also recognize that:
1) It wasn't just "misrule'' by Gorbachev, it was deliberate planned betrayal, with the goal of some people stealing the USSR's real wealth that had accumulated in the commons.
2) Putin and the people around him are never going to allow a counter-Perestroika. Because they came to be what and where they are thanks to the betrayal of Gorbachev. Have you ever seen Putin even acknowledge what happened back then? Or purge those responsible? No, many of them are still in positions of power. Some self-purged themselves in early 2022, but not all.
I cannot see how a new Cold War would bring the same benefits that you propose. You are right that the USA needs to respect Russia, but borders have changed, time has passed, and Ukraine is still in 'play'. We can't literally wind back time, and Russia will still be viewed without respect by the USA and allies, because that is where we are even with Russia proving itself. A reset is not going to change Trump's opinion of Russia, and many Americans and Brits will still see Russia as inferior, and will still believe in the myths they are told to believe by their respective states. What you propose will not happen as there are still ongoing efforts and plans to dismember Russia, and remove Putin, to place their 'man' in power over Russia by the Deep states of America and the UK.
Ukraine is still a thing. If Russia now sticks to it's original intent to only free and keep the four oblasts that are part of the Russian Federation, Europe, NATO, & America will move into the rest, and as we know, that is not acceptable to Putin and Russia, which means Russia will have to move in itself, and hold NATO at bay.
During the original Cold-War, the Soviets had their protective satellite countries, and that is what held back NATO from getting too close to Russia's borders. No intrusion (Military) by the west was permitted, and that would have resulted in WW3 then if NATO had tried. Now, after the satellite nations were allowed their relative independence, NATO immediately started to move towards Russia's borders, reducing the distance between Moscow and NATO.
How does Russia now protect itself? Does it re-take all the satellite countries it let go of? That would surely be deeply unpopular, and give Putin and Russia a very bad image, and NATO would be strengthened as this would provide all that the West needs as justification of its claim that Russia/Putin want their Empire back. I wonder how much blood will be spilled in that scenario? Or does Russia simply allow former Soviet countries to join NATO without challenge, and rely solely on their new weapons, and Nukes? Maybe, but allowing that, allows the noose to tighten around the Bear's neck, NATO will continue to move closer.
All the efforts of the West are about encircling Russia, militarily, and economically, how exactly does Russia combat this with a new Cold War? How does the current hot climate turn cold in relation to Ukraine? Does Russia have to accept NATO troops in the rest of Ukraine? Wouldn't that itself embolden NATO and Ukraine to re-arm, and then attempt to re-take the 4 New Russian Oblasts? Will any of this stop America and NATO from desiring the break-up of Russia? I do not see how, unless Russia accepts American and NATO missiles on it's doorstep, and gives up Ukraine (and even if it did, NATO would still want Russia as theirs).
The Cold war was a unique situation brought about by events that cannot be repeated. It could be argued we are already in a new-cold war with Russia, but it isn't showing any signs of cooling, and is very much showing signs of imminent heating up. For sure that was how it looked before, always the worry it would escalate, but we have already had too many escalations for Russia to keep things frosty.
If the West gives up it's idea of owning Russia, then there would be no need of a Cold war, but until it does, this current chill, can only thaw, and give way to heat. The cold war you wish for cannot be attained, it has gone, too many things have changed in the intervening time. The old cold war was a product of it's time. Russia has the upper hand, it has super-weapons that the West can't match, and in order to not lose Ukraine, or any other part of it's sphere of influence, it cannot give the West time to catch-up - too much has happened for Russia to accept being penned-in by America or NATO ever again.
I wish we could go back to those days, even to me they seemed simpler, more manageable, and respectful of each others nuclear arsenals, but that was also a time of Statesmen, and level-headed politicians and Diplomats, something that the West no longer has due to those services metastasising along the way.
Marty McFly did go to the Future to fix his Future family, but in the original, he did not go back with the purpose of changing his current outlook, it was an accident, which by his own folly (and Doc. Brown's - Great Scott!), nearly wiped himself out of existence. We cannot have a cold war like it once was Scott, I wish it were so, but things are different now, and they preclude even this current cold war from continuing - Russia must prove it is an equal, it must prove to The West that they cannot keep on trying to take Russia, and that means considerable hotness, not frostiness.
I don't think he means the Cold War as in perpetually upping the arms race, what he said on the video is regaining that dialogue that went on during the (later) part of the Cold War, with both parties realizing that M.A.D. was non-viable. So all those words are much ado about nothing. Scott is definitely working toward new arms control agreements. But the thing that keeps throwing off the bilateral arrangements, is the 3rd party- China. Of course, U.S. should stop policing the whole world.
Without respect, how is that dialogue going to generate the needed respect? - Vladimir Putin has been engaging in dialogue, towards a multi-polar world since 1999, and no matter how many times the hand of peace has been proffered, it is always slapped out of the way.
Also, I didn't say about a cold war as in perpetually upping the arms race (that is happening anyway due to a complete disregard on The West's part to respect law, and treaties, or anything verbally agreed to, or written), my point is the fact there is no respect for Russia or Putin, being that the West has fomented this lack of respect since 1999 when Putin became acting President. Read his history on Kremlin.ru.
Scott is working towards new arms control agreements, but he is not in the position he once was, and that limits what he can do, it is a fact. It is admirable what Scott does, and I have never challenged him on the point of Arms -Control, the facts are, however, that all those agreements are dead, and now there is no mood for them because Russia/Putin knows that America's agreements mean nothing, that law means nothing to them and their allies, all because there is no respect for Putin/ Russia even now. The West continues to spin that Russia is failing and struggling, and the West continues to follow its plan to break up Russia.
How do you propose Russia moves forward from this, given that Putin and Russia will never accept subservience to America or the rest of The West? How does Russia stop The West, and cause it to turn its interests away from its narcissistic ways?
China is not the problem, where do you get your information that China keeps throwing off bilateral arrangements, and which arrangements are you talking about?
To you all my words are much ado about nothing, because you clearly only read what you wanted to read, and inferred things I never wrote. Because of people like you, I have to spell everything out. Show me where I said the issue with the cold war was about perpetually upping the arms race - I didn't, you imagined what I wrote because you don't like reading lots of words. That is on you. I provide detail, you infer without.
yes, that's true. People attach various meanings to what the Cold War meant. I mentioned China since an arms agreement between US and Russia would be bilateral, not mentioning China, why is that hard to understand. yes, as Lavrov has said, U.S. is not agreement capable and never will be, nothing there engenders trust at all. The only way for the "West" to change its ways is by total strategic defeat. They could choose otherwise, but never will. See Diesen's book on Russophobia and others.
Hmmm. Gorbachev, Perestroika. That was as far as I know not an entirely "internal" affair. Gorbachev was not only a member of The Club of Rome (which speaks volumes in itself). He was also strongly pulled in by American New Age groups, aiming at "One World", "One World Religion", and with it, One World Order. Globalism, in short. I believe the Esalen Institute played a central role in this game, and it is my impression that Gorbachev was (letting himself be) hoodwinked into this 'world peace' movement (doesn't 'perestroika' mean 'peace'?) CIA, anyone? Please help me if you have information related to this, because this history is well documented, I just cannot remember the main source straight away.
Russia should express to the West that until the sanctions are suspended and russia is treated as a good citizen in the world trade arena and NATO is dissolved a tactical nuclear weapon will be launch somewhere to show it means business. What has it to loose. Bullies need to be bullied back and the treat of a tactical nuke strike somewhere may be just the bullying the West needs in this point in our crazy history. One of trumps golf courses as a target would work.
AI, cold fusion, nano, hypersonics. these are the weapons of the war of tomorrow. Gorbachev was “woke”, with Russian characteristics. Sure, the west has consumer goods, but we have poisoned food, poisoned medicine, and poisoned education. The Russian society convulsed against the policies of Gorbachev, who was chasing popularity amongst women, young people, and minorities, like a western politician. Russia will exist as a civilisation long after the dissolution of The Union. An unspoken fear that neocons project on to other countries without understanding what holds them together, because they don’t rely solely on holding the purse strings.
Scott: I don't mean to changed the subject, but saw your interview with Judge Nap this morning. And, right now am watching a Tucker Carlson interview with Eva Vlaardingerbroek. You might want to take a look. Remember people are having bank accounts eliminated or frozen when they are not even a citizen of the EU but because someone in the EU govt thinks they are supporting Russia. Your banking situation might be coming in from abroad. Just a thought/possibility (not probability) from an old military auditor who specialized in FWA and was told the same thing you were in the 1990's... I knew too much.
Thank you Scott, for all this deep insight, I will read it a few more times! This looks like some of the stuff you aren't supposed to know! Yes, CIA stinks. As one CIA agent once told a senator: You are gone in four years, CIA is forever.
It doesn't matter what the USA wants. Russia wants to be free of Western-controlled financial institutions. If Russia succeeds, maybe China will do the same. That would force the end of USA's deficit spending addiction, and a recession/depression in the USA. Tough medicine. Maybe necessary.
Totally necessary and inevitable. The massive US debt was only possible from running the world's reserve currency. One dies, the other also dies. Good riddance.
Ban all war and armaments and have Putin and Trump fight it out in a WEF style reality TV show. I call this mutually assured distracion for the masses, or MAD. Dr Strangelove and what , me worry?
only in a real fight. I did three judo classes, and accordingly won the two fights I have ever had, when I was twelve. I miss F1 in Russia too. Trump can make out Putin bit his ear off and declare victory that way. lols.
Sadly, Scott, your desired conclusion is fundamentally impossible to achieve for one important reason ... America(ns) is/are not capable of repentance; to change their mindset to an opposite stance. They might feign repentance but it would be insincere and fake in every way. Americans are a "vain and hasty" people (a phrase from the Bible) who think ONLY of themselves and never anyone else.
Scott, just taking the opportunity to thank you for your work, and salute you for your integrity and courage, in which i believe your wife must be included.
