The story is not true!! The Yazidi are the most Godly people on earth

I was actually excited at first to see the Yazidi mentioned, but after reading to the end I found myself disappointed and even a bit bitter.

The Yazidi, whose peacefulness and decency has for so many centuries stood in contrast to the hunger for power and cruelty of so many bigoted, selfrightous mainstream Muslims (not remotely all, of course, condemning Muslims per se is not the point at all) and Christians (ditto) being in the end once more de facto tarred by the vile distortions and defamations that led to this completely harm- and powerless group being oppressed and genocided again and again was painful.

I realize fully well that that was not the point and that Scott's actual, very well justified beef IS not with the Yazidi.

But it was not doing the cause of justice and peace in the world any favor end on a note that can be very easily interpreted as a sort of blood libel against the Yazidi, who again, already are one of the most unjustly smeared and persecuted groups in history, even if that blood libel IS sorta accidental.

Satan in the sense of the Evil One If He exists as more than a metaphor does not live in a cave or temple amongst the marginalized, powerless and oppressed that the mighty and proud largely don't even realize exist or spit on when they do.

He as Scott otherwise of course correctly recognizes sits in Washington and everywhere else where powerlust, greed, ego and cruel contempt for the powerless reign supreme and he holds court surrounded by a huge and varied (("diverse" one might say) coterie of smug, narcissistic, sadistically hateful yet constantly moralizing and sermonizing Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Liberals, Atheists, Conservatives, Fascists, Communists, Nationalists, Globalists and people of every imaginable creed even though the glorification of power, status, wealth and other worldly interests combined almost invariably with an utterly unfounded and grotesquely absurd sense of of moral superiority and purity (really moral vanity) is what truly unites them all.

Under no circumstances should those scum, the truly worst people in the face of the Earth bar none EVER be allowed the reprieve of fingerpointing at the poor Yazidi and proclaimimg: "Well, at least I'm not one of them "Devil-worshippers"!

At least someone reconizes the harm this story could do to the vunerable Yazidis. I have worked for them (volunteer) for almost 10 years. The Sunni Muslims are the problem. They joined in with ISIS to slaughter, rape, behead, burn alive bury alive the Yazidis.

This LIE is a lie that could be used to cause another Genocide of these truly beautiful people. The Yazidi are closest people to God than any other people on earth .. they are the roots of the Great Sumerians. Some people believe they go as far back as 12k years. Their Temple is over 4,000 years. The Islamic Sunni (Kurds) want them dead if they do not convert so the Kurds spread this lie about them and apparently Scott got hoodwinked into thinking the story is true.

I follow Scott for a while because I believed he had important things to say... but reading this article I was insulted because I know he took what a Kurd told him and did not bother to find the truth. I have the truth... I have been the assistant to the Yazidi Prince for 9 years.

Well, in a way it should be.

The Yazidi have been oppressed every bit as much as the Palestinians (or historically the Jews) and they not only have no state but also no lobby anywhere, no international support, no allies, nothing.

In a way they even are fellow victims of the US Empire and Israel as well, since the most recent time they were targeted for cold-blooded mass murder (most recent of many, many, many such sad occasions) the bitchering was carried out by ISIS, which of course had plenty of support by both the US and Israel.

From the perspectives of Washington and Tel Aviv the dead Yazidi we're of course Just an irrelevant byproduct of their General Policy of sowing Chaos, destruction and death throughout the whole Region, destabilizing it.

But ISIS was happy to use the opportunity to act on a deepseated, hateful and murderously cruel bigotry that is nigh universal amongst Sunni Muslims in the region where the Yazidi are concerned.

Would actually be nice If Palestinians (and their supporters around the world) could recognize that they really are in the same boat as the Yazidi and that there really has to be justice for ALL instead of just for some.

Sadly though the much more likely reality is that even a lot of longsuffering Palestinians would still prefer to slit a Yazidi's throat with a smile over recognizing him or her as a fellow sufferer and human being.

It's not about who is oppressed or suffers more, certainly it should not be, but IF one were play that game the Yazidi would beat the Palestinians (and the Jews, for that matter) at any time of the day.

"Yazidi, member of a Kurdish religious minority found primarily in northern Iraq, southeastern Turkey, and northern Syria." Wiki.

I am not sure what group you were referring to, are you referring to the Kurds? I don't recall Scott's article criticizing the Kurds. In my case the "evil" I was referring to was the US govt intel agencies trying to manipulate Scott's data to gin up a pretext for war.

I'm sorry but you are wrong the Yazidi are not Kurds, it is the Kurds that are killing the Yazidi. The kurds have filled the internet with lies. After the Yazidis last genocide, in 2014, their 74th Genocide, the Kurds went on a campaign to tell the world the Yazidi are Kurds. Billions of dollars flowed in to help the Yazidi but the leader of the Kurds, Barzani, by telling the world the Yazidi are Kurds, recieved the billions and put it in his pockets and the Yazidi after 12k of their peaceful people were murdered, the Kurdish Peshmerga destroyed their city leavinig them with nothing.

They are the roots of the Sumerians .

I have speant 10 years fighting these lies that the Sunni Muslims spread. They want to steal the Yazidis lands. about a month ago Germany held hearings at Parliament where the Kurds (Sunni Muslims/ISIS) wanted to be included when Germany declared it was a Genocide again sthe Yazidi people.. the parliment told the Kurds "no" this was a Genocide against the Yazidis. (by the Kurds and Arabs) I am a great grandmother who has spent 10 years working for these people and I volunteer as the personal Assistant to their Prince. It is a real honor to actually know them. And God is the center of their universe.

I follow Scott, for a while now. I usually agree with much of what he says... But I know an Islamic Sunni Kurd told him this and he did not question it, that bothers me.

Jesus said, this evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, but the only sign they will get is the sign of Jonah . Paraphrase. Jonah walked through Ninevah saying, Repent! He did this, and the King repented with the people. That's all. It doesn't change anything whether or not they have a long history, or what religion they are. Each person must repent to be saved. It's an individual thing. No religion will save anyone, good or bad.

"And this was something that Tawûsî Melek, Lucifer, or Shaitan, could never take away from me."

A very interesting piece, and very evocatively written. For a few minutes, I walked in that strange Yazidi temple with you.

Also, thank you for reminding me of something, with your closing line. Long ago I watched a movie, a fictionalised version of the creating of the first Olympic Games. One young hopeful saying to his Mother, " I am gong to win this, win it for you" and her reply "OH no, when you win, you do it for yourself and once you've done it, no one can take it away".

I never forgot that, because over the decades of learning to practise an integrity which become worth more and more, I also learned, that what ever it costs, once you have acted to your own standards of integrity, which incorporates honour, you carry an added sense of calm and growing strength. And you know then that no one can take that away from you either.

Scott never said the Yazidis were evil. I read this and my opinion is that they are good people who believe in their God. Scott imagines their prayers were just like all our prayers, not praying for evil. He says he was almost fooled--who says they are not all or mostly fooled? The Sumerians most certainly did not worship Jesus. :-) Most likely, the Sumerians did not worship Jesus's father either. Lucifer was a bright angel and those who followed him were mostly good people, being led away from the true God, without knowing any better--and even today, many would-be Satanists are just misguided an/or angry at God.

The Hindus are great people but they do not worship Jesus and God. They have their own Gods--quite a few. It's also possible that the Kurds and Yazidis are descended from the same people--I have no idea. They may have branched off from the Kurds, and if the Kurds are a race or ethnic group, then they may still be Kurdish, DNA-wise, and that's not saying they identify as Kurds now, or that the present Kurds are not oppressing and persecuting them.

I see that you love these people. I did not perceive that Scott hated them or had anything against them. He just saw the danger in mistaking a golden peacock for God, and he saw how easy it could be to do that! Just as he saw how easy it would be to betray his true trust, by claiming to be a true American patriot! That's the WHOLE point of, and beauty of this wonderful article -- things are SUBTLE! Lies are so often very well disguised as truth. So easy to lie to ourselves! Wolves truly do wear sheep's clothing, or disguise themselves as harmless golden peacocks representing Jesus!

Don't you see? Jesus doesn't need Tawûsî Melek to "represent him"-- he doesn't need a middle man! You can contact Jesus directly! He is right here! Any other God saying they represent Jesus is a false God. But that doesn't make the people who believe him bad people. Jesus came to teach these very people! You tell your prince to put that peacock out to pasture and put up a picture of Jesus --then start teaching his life story to the Yazidis -- they do not have to become Christians--they can get Jesus's story from the Urantia Book if they like -- then this whole problem will be solved.

Try to take a deep breath, lighten up, and give Scott a break. Clearly he is a good man and this story is not about any evil Yazidis -- and it is not about you. It IS about temptation, compromise, and selling out. It IS about our evil government (and the always-evil British government). It is about the almost impossible task--for an honest man to work for these corrupt agencies.

I think she is worried about throwing a small, completely powerless community that has been defamed, cruelly persecuted and regularly genocided by their mainstream Muslim neighbours for centuries once more under the bus even if kinda accidentally because he really is making a very different and completely justified point.

Scott's perfectly justified beef IS not with some obscure, perpetually persecuted (and completely peaceful) religious minority who have no influence (or Lobby representing their interests or even just their side of the story) whatsoever, I fully recognize that.

But why then drag those people who have done nobody harm and have never drawn anything but the short end of the stick where politics and power are concerned into it at all?
