I would also point out that North Korea is still at war with the USA, and as Ukraine is a US proxy war against their Russian ally, there should be no surprise, or errant gesticulations from the West regarding North Korea's involvement.
In addition, North Korea is also a nuclear armed nation, and Kiev, and the West need to be cognisant of that. What ties Russia's hands, may not tie North Korea's. Whilst I doubt North Korea would use a nuclear weapon against Ukraine, I think that really depends on how Kiev responds to PyongYang.
On a related point, North Korea doesn't need to send 50,000 troops, just two - one to implacably scare the bejesus out of the Ukies, and drive them at the other, who snuck behind them ... game over, a bit like a Pheasant shoot, only a lot more scary. ... ok so I am obviously joking, but something about North Korean Troops tells me they are very scary, highly motivated, and lethal combatants ....
