So now, as they have done for hundreds of years, the US will agree treaties with their enemies (to get them to apply self-restraint and subside into complaisance) until such time as the US war machine can convince US leadership that they once again have the military advantage and they can return to belligerence mode; strutting, bullying, violating treaties "unilaterally", sanctioning, invading... you know... same old shit we've had for the past three decades. Is anyone ever going to learn?

You left out one part, Scott, at least if we assume that none of the Iranian missiles were hypersonic:

It showed that US Air Defense + Israeli Air Defense could be beaten with less-than-State-of-the-art Iranian offensive weapons.

Apparently, no hypersonics needed (or is that inaccurate?).

Compared to an opponent using hypersonic missiles, the Iranian tactics got through multi-national air and ground based missile defense, with the Iranians voluntarily keeping "one-arm tied behind their back".
